As a plant grows
above the pot the roots within its pot grow
too. Eventually the roots will fill the
pot taking over the compost, your plants
growth rate will decrease, and in worst
cases the plant will die. When this happens
you need to transfer your plant in a bigger
pot.
Step 1
Placing one hand on the surface
of the compost turn the pot upside
down and tap on the base & sides
of the pot to release the plant.
Step 2
Place the plant into a larger clean
pot with crocks and a fresh supply
of potting compost. Gentle tease
out some of the roots.
Step 3
Fill in the sides with your new
compost mix and then water the plant.
